Welcome to Elevated Safety Consulting! I'm a proud South Side Chicago native with over 10 years of experience in safety and risk management. Yes, I said South Side – where we know how to navigate challenges, think on our feet, and get things done safely (a skill that translates perfectly to construction sites, I promise).

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Environmental Health and Safety from Northern Illinois University, where I learned that safety isn't just about following rules – it's about creating systems that actually work in the real world. Later, I expanded my expertise with a Master of Public Policy in Community Health from Adler University, because sometimes you need policy-level thinking to create lasting safety culture change.

My Journey in Safety

Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of working on some pretty impressive projects. I've ensured safety protocols on towering high-rise buildings that touch the Chicago skyline, navigated the unique challenges of active hospital construction (where you're literally building around people saving lives), and managed safety programs for complex data centers (where one wrong move could cost millions in downtime – no pressure, right?).

From my early days as a Safety Coordinator with National Safety Consulting to my recent role as Safety Director at Blinderman Construction, I've developed comprehensive safety programs, conducted countless audits, and led root cause analysis meetings that actually solve problems instead of just checking boxes.

I'm a CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), which means I've proven my expertise in one of the most challenging safety environments out there. But certifications aside, what really drives me is building safety cultures that stick. My experience spans everything from weekly safety audits on large-scale projects to developing executive-level presentations that translate complex safety data into actionable business insights. I've managed teams of Site Safety and Health Officers, delivered OSHA 30-hour training, and yes, I can create those visual reports that actually make safety trends easy to understand (charts that don't put people to sleep – imagine that!).
